Old landmark from Dietwiller |
History Dietwiller formed part of the bailliage of High-Landser. The houses are mainly stone-built, of viticultural style, with a vaulted cellar entry from the 16th and 17th century, and some half-timbered houses, of rural style, but always with a large cellar, dating from the end of the 17th to the 19th century. |
Saint Nicholas's Church Not to be missed, inside the church, at the rear of the nave, the statues of Saint Wendelin (1782), of the crowned Virgin with Child Jesus and of Our Lady of Assumption (1855). The side altars are decorated with works from George Kaiser (fine 19th century) and the organ is of Rinckenbach (1891). |
